I received these yesterday.
The kiddos bought cards and candy. AND made cards as well.
Looks like it will be Sunday before we can celebrate by having cake.
I'm looking forward to having the kiddos sing a rousing round of "Happy Birthday."
And thanks to everyone for the cards, emails, and phone calls.

Sick and Tired
Not me, Brandon. I am lucky to say that this is one tough boy. He is rarely sick. And for that I am thankful! But when he does get sick, it comes on hard and fast. What started out as a tiny little cough on Friday morning, has become an all out cold. We had snot, HUGE sneezes, and coughing spells. But he just keeps on going!
We are doing a bit of a "makeover" to our bathroom upstairs. On Saturday, the kids were SO SO good all afternoon while we worked. When we sat down for dinner, Brandon just wasn't hungry. But he did just walk away with a cup of juice. Keeping 'em hydrated! Through the whole meal, no Brandon. Asking about dessert? Still not a peep. This was our clue! I think the boy can smell chocolate a mile away... So I crept up the stairs and he is zonked out on the couch. No TV. No toy or book. Sitting on the couch fast asleep. Poor boy! He kept going as long as he possibly could and finally fell asleep where he stopped. I got his pillow and blanket so he would actually lie down. He slept for nearly 3 hours! At 9:30 pm, he woke up hungry. So oatmeal for "dinner" and back to bed without any protest.
As for Brandon on this Monday morning, I had bought him some Nighttime cough/cold medicine (instead of just the cough stuff, I started giving him Fri night). He slept so good and did not get up until 9:30! So far I have not heard any coughs or sneezes.
As for the bathroom makeover, it is almost done.
